Unity Workshops
Jordan
We’ve been(secretly) preparing a series of Unity Workshops, collaborating with Big Bad Robots to create what we believe is quality training in Unity. Our first series is a beginner’s foundation series, which introduces students into the fundamentals of Unity which is a building block to allow them to create games, architectural walkthroughs, interactive apps and more.
Students will be able to create a simple game like this Space Invaders clone in Unity once they have completed the workshop.

Nice invaders clone guys! I’d like to share a couple of points if I may. I played the game and beat it, but there was no victory screen. Also, if I move the player’s ship off screen to the left and right it doesn’t seem to stop moving and can get quite far away from the screen. Otherwise it looks like a full game!
Hi Rus, thanks for your comment! Yup, the alien ship thing is a bug we need to fix and we should work on the victory screen as well.
This is a pretty old post now. Are you guys going to have this up and running anytime soon? I’m currently trying to switch over from flash development to something more substantial. Just looking around the web for more resources like this.
Also comrade in arms looks good.
Thanks.
Hi Kyle, we actually ran this course in Singapore a couple of times. Are you looking for more self-learning resources or instructor based programs?
Thanks for your comment about Comrade In Arms. It is approaching beta now, just squashing the last bugs and trying to polish it up as much as we can
